Frequently asked questions

How accurate is this tool?

The database is compiled from the most widely cited spam word research in the industry. That said, modern spam filters use more than just word matching - they look at sending patterns, domain reputation, and template fingerprinting too. This tool catches the word-level triggers, which is one important layer of deliverability.

Does "medium" severity mean I need to remove the word?

Not necessarily. Medium-severity words are risky in combination or in certain contexts. A single "discount" in an otherwise clean email is probably fine. Three medium-severity words stacked together is a red flag. Use the spam score as your guide.

What about "context-dependent" words?

Words like "free", "cost", and "save" are only risky in certain contexts. "Free consultation" in a sales email is a red flag. "Feel free to reach out" is fine. The tool flags them so you can make a judgment call.

Is my email text stored anywhere?

How often is the database updated?
